Hermes Mail Triage is a personal tool used only by its operator, Klober, in Northern Virginia. It is not a public service and it does not have other users.
The app connects to the operator’s own Gmail mailbox with the Google scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify. It reads message headers and content as needed to classify mail, then adds labels. It does not send mail, permanently delete mail, or share the mailbox with anyone else.
Labeling runs on the operator’s own computer. A scheduled check may notify the operator on his phone when a message needs a reply or a payment. One-time passwords and login codes are not included in those notices.
